London Travelcards

London Travelcards

Travelcards offer an extremely cost effective and fast way to travel in and around London. They can be purchased via the online CTM booking system either alongside a rail journey into a London, or individually.

Booking a combined Return journey and Travelcard:

The following processes outline the steps towards adding a Travelcard to a rail journey arriving into London.

1. Select your "Departing From" train station and enter "London (LON)" as your destination.

2. Select your departure and return date and times, the number of travellers and any railcards.

3. Click ‘Search for Trains’

4. Once your search results have populated, select either ‘1x Return’ or ‘1x First Class Return’ as demonstrated below:

5. Having filtered for return rail tickets, a number of standard return options including a ‘Travelcard’ are presented, as shown below:

When selected, both the anytime and off-peak day Travelcard options provide bookers with a Travelcard for their journey that is valid on the day of travel.

Types of Travelcards:

Anytime Day Travelcard

The ‘Anytime Day Travelcard’ can be used all day on the day of purchase, Monday to Friday (Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are ‘off-peak’ and cheaper to buy) and for any journey that starts before 04:30 the following day.

Off-Peak Day Travelcard

The ‘Off-Peak Day Travelcard’ can be used from 9:30 Monday to Friday, all day Saturday, Sunday and on public holidays on the day of travel, and can be used for any journey that starts before 04:30 the following day.
