Following an acquisition, Securitas was looking to consolidate their travel into a centrally managed system. They went to tender looking for a travel management company that were flexible, creative and innovative. CTM was the winning company and have since worked successfully with Securitas for several years.
Conducting a review of the business model, CTM worked with Securitas to develop a communication strategy to employees promoting the benefits of consolidation, particularly in the areas of finance and duty of care. Distribution through WebEx, face to face and internal communication ensured all employees were aware of the travel services.
Offering an online solution gave employees flexibility to manage travel out of office hours, while being able to maintain policy control and retaining branch support for more complex bookings - resulting in a 95% adoption rate. A training schedule was implemented to educate staff, while reinforcing the advantages, through a series of roadshows and WebEx training sessions.
CTM undertook a comprehensive review of hotel activity and approached a selected number of suppliers for renegotiation, successfully securing a 60% financial saving on hotel expenditure. Locations and rates are regularly reviewed and benchmarked to ensure competitiveness and parity.
