Middlesex University was looking for a strong TMC that had expertise in travel, visibility of management information (MI), great service, as well as strength in training. Following a successful award of tender from the central framework, we have been working in partnership for many years as the sole provider for travel management services to Middlesex University.
Contract adoption and 'buy in' was achieved by raising the profile of CTM through a series of ongoing booker forums, presenting the value of using a travel management company. This strategy enabled CTM to address directly with the end user, presenting factual illustrations of the benefits of working through a travel management company.
CTM demonstrated, through knowledge and experience, tangible cost savings in the area of flights, hotel and rail activity. CTM’s own negotiated fares have achieved the objective of maintaining traveller preferences while reducing the average fare and rates, and adopting 'best practice' measures such as advance purchase. These are monitored regularly through account management and MI reporting to ensure continued savings.
CTM emphasised the importance of traveller tracking and Duty of Care in the event of a disaster, demonstrating through the use of technology how we could support the challenges face by HR and procurement. This highlighted the benefit of using a travel management company and ensured safety of travellers at all times.
Increase of in-policy bookings through TMC:
