CTM has come a long way since it was first established back in 1988. Originally called Elizabeth Duff Travel, it successfully expanded to become one the UK’s leading independent travel management companies – eventually leading to its acquisition by Chelsea Football Club in 1988. The company rebranded as Chelsea Village Travel and went on to develop the groups and events division that provided sports travel for the club’s supporters.
In 2004, Chelsea outsourced its travel division and our business was acquired by P&P Associates, rebranded and re-launched as CTM. Today we are privately owned and have an established reputation within the travel industry. We continue to be at the forefront of the corporate and leisure travel sectors, and with business interests in both markets, it gives us visibility across the whole travel sector.
Our creative approach to travel management, along with continued investment in developing new products, ensures we stay ahead of our competitors within the travel industry. One of the key factors to our success is that we are not dependent on the industry’s core Global Reservations Systems (GDS). Our products mean that we are able to work directly with suppliers and airlines, which we see as fundamental for future pricing and competitiveness.
In addition to our travel services, CTM and parent company P&P Associates have been leading the way with travel technology. Using travel software Vibe, it has been adopted by a number of well-known brands and organisations including Asda Travel, London City Airport and London Gatwick Airport to name but a few.
